GxG Legal advised Aerowest on the acquisition of Businesswings Luftfahrtunternehmen GmbH – an important strategic step for the further scaling of Aerowest's aviation platform.
The transaction adds a second Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to the group and increases the operational fleet to 17 aircraft, significantly expanding operational flexibility and presence in the cargo and business aviation sectors.
For Aerowest, the acquisition represents a targeted diversification of the service portfolio – from executive charters to ambulance and organ transport to comprehensive cargo charter solutions. With true 24/7 operational capabilities, Aerowest further positions itself as a short-notice specialist for complex and time-critical missions, including organ transport, AOG operations, spare parts logistics, and short-notice business travel – anywhere, anytime.
With Businesswings, the Aerowest Group, founded in 1968, grows to approximately 120 employees at locations in Hanover, Kassel, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart. In addition to the 17 aircraft operated under two AOCs, Aerowest also integrates its own Part-145-MRO unit, further strengthening the group's operational resilience and technical depth.
