Unless otherwise stated, all lawyers are admitted to the bar in the Federal Republic of Germany. The relevant professional regulations are, inter alia, the Federal Lawyers' Act (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung), the Professional Code of Conduct (Berufsordnung), the Specialist Lawyers' Code of Conduct (Fachanwaltsordnung), the Lawyers' Remuneration Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz) and the Professional Rules for Lawyers of the European Union. They can be found at www.brak.de under the heading "Berufsrecht". This website is currently only available in the German language.

The competent consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle)in Germany for property disputes arising from an attorney-client relationship is the Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft, Neue Grünstraße 17, 10179 Berlin, www.schlichtungsstelle-der-rechtsanwaltschaft.de. We do not participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
